In the 1960s and 1970s, the CIA was everywhere in India. Each and every ill including poverty could be traced to the CIA.
Now Russia is everywhere in The USA. Even talking to the Russians is so so incorrect as per the democrats and the Intelligence Establishment. There are leaks galore on who met whom . It's ridiculously funny. For a superpower. With TV anchors and democrats seriously pontificating on the issue. Maybe some of them get up each morning and check under the bed, behind the sofa etc for any Russian spies hiding there while simultaneously checking tablets and mobiles for Russian interference!
And to think that the only major vicious war the American army actually fought with a communist state was with China. The Korean War, just after World War Two was with in a way China only. Yet with all the muscle flexing today by China, the fixation is with a much weakened Russia. Demonizing Russians is fashionably in. The Russians, with a GDP placing them just as a middle income nation ought to feel proud to be considered so influential in the USA.
It's funny how a certain group can convince itself about a deep conspiracy and go to town over it.
In Kashmir once chatting with a couple of friends, I found them so serious about the Ideologues from a certain city in Maharashtra being all over the Valley (when the Mufti was CM), I used to respond by saying that each morning I got up and looked under my bed and dining table and then in my evening walks behind the trees for such seriously accomplished guys.
Seriously, who would have thought talking and networking and discussing could be so much a risky affair. And serious columnists writing pages on 'hopefully' how soon the bumbling guy who stole the crown would go.
One satisfaction, some of the mainstream US channels and newspapers and our media are now at the same level in being shrill and silly.
When the Roman Empire was at it's peak, the powerful passed their time in Rome on idle pursuits and conspiracy theories. Seems the same here.
Now to put it ~
Donald Trump he wore the presidential crown,
E i a e i oh,
The Russians stole it for him,
E i a e i oh,
With a Russian here and a Russian there,
Here a Russian and there a Russian.
Everywhere a Russian,
The streets of the US of A just swarmed with them.
Voting was just a farce,
It's the damn Ruskies who stole it.
E i a e i Oh.
How could our archangel lose,
E i a e i Oh.
