पर क्या वाकई सच का दरिया इसी दिशा में बहता है?

आम आदमी बेचारा, भला उसे क्या ज्ञान है,

हर श्रेणी में छिपी यहाँ, लाभ-हानि की खान है।

कुछ फंड तो छूते शिखर, कुछ बीच में ही रुक जाते,

लंबे वक्त के निवेश भी, खास फल नहीं दे पाते।

कहने को तो कह दिया कि "म्यूचुअल फंड सही है",

पर क्या परखी आपने, इसकी गहराई कभी है?

इक्विटी की अपनी चमक, बॉन्ड्स की अपनी पहचान है,

हाइब्रिड और मल्टीकैप का, फैला हुआ जहान है।

आम आदमी बस पूछकर, कहीं भी पैसा लगा दे,

पर इतना अंधा विश्वास भी, कहीं उसे न डूबा दे।

सावधान रहो तुम हमेशा, मॉनिटर भी करते रहो,

वक़्त आए तो फंड बदलकर, 'स्विच-आउट' भी करते रहो।

लंबे समय की बातें करना, बड़ा ही आसान है,

पर जिसे ज़रूरत आज है, वह तो बड़ा परेशान है।

सालों बाद जब पैसा चाहिए, बाज़ार अगर तब गिर जाए,

तो 'लॉन्ग टर्म' का वह फलसफा, काम भला क्या आए?

खुद समझो, खुद परखो, खुद अपनी राह बनाओ,

किसी और के भरोसे यूँ ही, पूँजी मत लुटाओ।

चाहे बैंकर हो या सलाहकार, एक बात गाँठ तुम बाँध लो,

टारगेट उनका होता है, पर पैसा तो है आपका! यह जान लो।

यही हकीकत, यही सच, सोच-समझ कर कदम बढ़ाओ,

जाँच-परख कर निवेश करो, और समय-समय पर देखते जाओ!

"Mutual Funds are right"—so the advertisements say,

But is the reality of the matter really flowing that way?

The common man is clueless, caught in a hazy maze,

In every category, funds both in profit and loss.

Some funds touch the summits, some collapse in their stride,

Even long-term returns often fail the trend .

They say it’s the right way, they keep the slogan going,

But did you ever check the facts and complexity?

Equity has its own luster, Bonds their own distinct face,

Hybrid and Multi-cap funds fill up the remaining space.

The common man just asks around and puts his cash away,

But such blind faith, I fear, might lead him astray.

Stay alert always, keep a sharp and watchful eye,

When time demands, switch out, don't let your money die.

Talking about the 'Long Term' is easy to do,

But the one who needs cash today—what is he to go through?

Years later when you need it, if the market starts to fall,

That 'Long Term' philosophy won't help you at all.

Understand it yourself, test it yourself, find your own way,

Don't squander your capital on what others might say.

Be it a banker or advisor, remember this one thing for sure,

The target is theirs, but the money is yours.

This is the reality, this is the truth—think before you leap,

Invest only after checking, and a constant vigil keep!
