A Short Story. Maybe a lesson. Maybe. Do Read on.

A couple with two kids was leading a normal sedate life. Life was normal, nothing major or minor occured as they went about their normal chores day after day. Actually it could be boring. The wife really wanted to spend a month with her aged parents. They were calling her consistently. The only drawback were two, her husband's inability to cook properly, so she taught him to cook using simple kitchen tools. Another factor was she somehow did not fully trust her husband, though she had no complaints actually on this account. He was a plain regular guy going about his just normal life. Just a woman's natural instinct she told herself.Well, she went off for a month after multiple detailed instructions and handing out any number of lists and explaining to the hubby and kids how to cope and manage.
Once at her parents she called up her husband daily and he assured her all was well, the young kids fine and he was managing really very well but missed her ever so much. This made her quite happy. After a few days at her parents place, she got a little anxious as her mind was not at ease. She told herself it was just her woman's instinct but still she had to know. So she rang up her hubby and after the usual semi romantic exchange, she asked him ever so sweetly as to how would she know he was cooking and running the house. Simple came the prompt sincere reply, I am using the mixie (food processor) to cook for the kids and he switched it on. She heard the familiar sound of the motor and being satisfied, she went about looking after her parents.
This became a pattern, every now and then, when she was suspicious and anxious, she asked for proof and then the familiar sound of the mixie (food processor) calmed her. Then she decided to surprise her loved ones by flying in early.
When she reached home, she found a young teenage guy tending to the kids, the house was unkempt and most important, the hubby was not there though it was a holiday. It was also obvious he had not been home for a few days.
Tired from her journey and still looking around, she simply asked her young ones about their father.
Their innocent response was, how do we know. For the past month we have this young guy who looks after us and does the cooking. Dad hardly comes except to check us out once in a while, but we find it puzzling that whenever he leaves, he carries along the mixie (food processor) !!
Lesson~ ladies, Men will be men. Must you trust them. Think on this.
I also think my lesson is more engrossing than many a Godman on TV.
