Our Matrimonial Ways !!!!!

 A lady just sent me her take cum response to the short story I posted yesterday on a mother’s quest for a bride for her son trying for a MD Specialisation. I enjoyed it and am sharing it.

" Am preparing for MD, once done will marry a pretty doctornee. Phir dono mil kar recover the huge amt invested in studies and beyond. Bacchon aur ghar ko toh Ma dekh lege."

(Once I complete MD, I am marrying a pretty lady doctor. Then together we will recover the huge sum invested in our studies and earn much more. The kids and house my mother will take care ! ‘.

Interesting Perspective on Arranged Marriage-Overheard- As Usual in the Park.
There is a lady, middle aged, carrying prayer beads and apparently praying or looking to God while walking. Today she was discussing with a friend the imperative need for finding a match for her son, it seems the young man has completed MBBS and was now trying for a Specialist line, and ready to go just about anywhere for Studies.
The lady had her priorities sorted out, once marriage was done with no distractions and no possibility of someone not compatible with her and her comfort zone or culture walking in. Secondly her son would be focused upon studies.
The Best is yet to come. The girl had to be nice, homely, from a good family but definitely NOT Pretty. A pretty wife would only distract her precious son and keep him preoccupied. Now was the time to study, work hard and start earning well. So a just average girl for the son!!
I wish I could meet the son now !!

  This Obsession with death and staying as a memory Dinesh K Kapila I watch quite a few channels dealing with religion or spirituality in the morning hours. Have to. Suitably trained by wifey over the years !! Specially post retirement. ! Not grumbling, I do clarify ! Our viewing can cross religions and sects, no problems on that. However, something I must point out is this obsession with death, of many discourses, many a preacher or sant or priest or whatever we label them, they have to mention death and to state we need to be prepared for it. This period of life we all live is just a journey, a short journey between birth and death. Hell is a reality. Be ready. Heaven awaits us. Narak and Bhagwan Yama and Swarg. Janat. All this gets stressed or mentioned. A direct correlation is often drawn, praying and following certain pathways and in some cases even undertaking certain actions or rituals will only lead to peace and harmony and eternal freedom or Moksha, in the hereafter.
